Tricky Traders

The game takes place over three market days, with each day consisting of morning, afternoon, and evening. In each time slot, both players play two influence cards to attract customers, rats, and characters to specific stalls. At the end of the day, each stall scores fame points based on who is there—desirable visitors earn fame, undesirable types cost reputation. Whoever best supports their target stall while simultaneously undermining the opponent's sabotaging stall wins the game.

Tricky Traders feels surprisingly sharp for such a small duel: every card you play shifts the force field on the square slightly in your direction. The game really forces you to read what the other player is planning, making it a constant psychological battle. The interaction is direct, but never clumsy; it's precisely that subtle shifting of influence that gives the game its character. It's the perfect choice for those who enjoy short, tactical confrontations where a few clever moves are enough to turn the entire market upside down.
