What is the game about?

Welcome to the Queen of Hearts' tea party in Wordland. The guest list is known: Alice, the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit, the Caterpillar, the twin brothers, the Cheshire Cat, and a handful of other acquaintances have all received an invitation. But today the Queen has her own rules: certain letters are forbidden, she single-handedly chooses every topic of conversation, and whoever doesn't find a valid word in time will be sent home. In the middle of the table, the teapot plays its cheerful tune, counting down to the moment when you frantically start searching for a word without the letters J, N, and G.

How do you play the game?

Each round, the Queen of Hearts - a role that rotates - chooses a conversation topic, and three forbidden letters are drawn from four difficulty levels. The musical teapot starts as a timer for ten or fifteen seconds. In turn, each player must name a word that fits the topic and does not contain any of the forbidden letters, within their time limit. Anyone who fails to find a valid word before the music stops is out; the longer you stay in the round, the more points you score. At the end of each round, the character cards are swapped so everyone gets to know all the special abilities.

How is the game experienced?

Alice in Wordland is a direct and accessible word game that draws its charm from the combination of time pressure, forbidden letters, and that musical teapot, which invariably causes laughter and stress at the table. The characters from Alice in Wonderland each have their own unique ability, setting the game apart from generic word games. Reviewers describe it as a great filler game for parties and game nights, suitable for a wide audience, including younger players. The adjustable difficulty, through easier or harder letter cards, makes it versatile.
