Café Baras

Each turn, you play a card that you either buy as a dish, drink, or decor item for your tableau, or use to serve the customer on the card and earn money. Customers have specific requests, and when you fully fulfill them, they become a Regular, earning extra points at the end of the game. You draft cards from a common market, making timing and estimating what others want crucial. After a fixed number of rounds, the player with the best-running, most atmospheric café wins.

Café Baras is a warm and accessible tableau-building game that combines charm and strategy in a cozy animal-themed package. Drafting cards always feels meaningful, as each choice either strengthens your café or helps you attract the specific customer you need. The illustrations and atmosphere are excellent, immediately inviting play, both for families and casual gamers. A gentle, friendly, yet tactical game that's easy to get to the table and perfectly suited for those who enjoy building cozy engines with a lot of personality.
