What is the game about?

Stickerville is a village that doesn't yet exist. You start with an empty landscape, a book full of stories, and over eight hundred stickers: houses, shops, farms, animals, bridges, a market stall. Over ten game turns, each representing a year, it grows into a place with its own history. Residents arrive, buildings gain a function, and what you placed in year two is still there in year nine. The atmosphere is close to Stardew Valley or Animal Crossing: calm, gentle, and unhurried.

How do you play the game?

Each year, you draw event cards that tell you what happens in the village and which choices you make together. Based on these, you choose from the catalog what you build, and stick the corresponding sticker onto your village map. Where you place something determines how it counts later, as buildings interact with each other. The storybook guides you through ten years, with new rules and new stickers as you progress. You play together against the book, not against each other.

How is the game experienced?

I mainly see this as a game for those who enjoy the act of sticking itself, as it's less of a puzzle and more of a village you collaboratively fill in. Reviews describe it as relaxing and surprisingly immersive, with a story that leaves you curious about the next year. Stickers are permanent, so you play through the box once. If you're okay with that, you'll get about ten evenings of gameplay in return. If you're looking for a game where you put each other through the wringer, then you're definitely in the wrong place.
