What is the game about?

Sugar and Spite presents two villains who are thematically worlds apart, yet each brings a wonderfully recognizable Disney vibe. King Candy is set in the colorful, slightly hysterical world of Wreck-It Ralph, where manipulation, speed, and digital intrigue take center stage. Shere Khan offers the exact opposite: a stealthy, menacing jungle battle where every move hinges on dominance and control. It's a compact villainous box, but one that's remarkably rich in character thanks to the contrast between the two realms.

How do you play the game?

Each turn, you move your villain to a new location, perform the actions there, and replenish your hand to four cards. You play allies, effects, and items to work toward your unique goal, while Fate actions allow you to slow down your opponent by placing heroes from their cinematic world on the board. King Candy must use his digital tricks wisely to achieve his goal, while Shere Khan relies heavily on the timing of his predatory moves. Whoever fulfills their specific win condition first wins the duel.

This is the ideal game for...

How is the game experienced?

Sugar and Spite feels particularly sharply designed because the two villains have completely different pacing and play styles. King Candy plays slightly chaotic and almost playfully manipulative, while Shere Khan feels calmer and more calculating—a nice contrast that makes the duel exciting. The thematic integration is remarkably strong; you really feel like you're playing with two completely different types of villains. It's a smaller Villainous set, but one that offers a surprising amount of variety and personality.
