What is the game about?
Dorfromantik exudes tranquility: gently babbling rivers, forests swaying in the wind, and small villages emerging among fields and hills. As a group, you build a gentle, harmonious landscape layer by layer, where everything must fit together perfectly. The locals demand specific combinations—a cluster of houses here, a continuous field there—while simultaneously you strive to make railway lines and rivers meander as elegantly as possible. The whole feels like a peaceful story unfolding, each turn a little more beautiful.
How do you play the game?
Each turn, you place one hexagonal tile on the growing landscape and try to fulfill the tasks listed on pre-drawn cards. You score extra points by completely closing off areas with flags and by building long railways and rivers. Your group score determines how many new tiles and modules you unlock in the campaign. The game ends when all the tiles are gone and you can admire the complete harmony of your landscape.

How is the game experienced?
Dorfromantik is a unique game because it immediately brings peace, yet feels increasingly clever as you play. The collaborative puzzle-solving fosters a sense of connection: no one dominates, everyone contributes to the same landscape, and every tile feels like a small decision that makes the whole more beautiful or stronger. The campaign makes the game truly addictive—not through hectic play, but through the gentle pleasure of constantly unlocking something new and refining the landscape each time. It's a game that doesn't try to impress with complexity, but with charm, atmosphere, and a wonderful flow that makes you want to stay and admire what you've created together.
