What is the game about?
In Evergreen, you work on your own planet, creating a vast forest teeming with life. You develop different biomes—from mountains to plains—by placing trees, shrubs, and lakes that together form a growing ecosystem. The biomes you skip, meanwhile, become more fertile, earning you extra points later and rewarding your clever timing. It feels like you're shaping a living, breathing landscape, with every move affecting the balance of growth, light, and fertility.
How do you play the game?
Each round, you choose a biome card from a common row to determine which area of your planet you can build in. Unchosen cards increase the fertility of their regions, allowing them to yield more points later. You perform actions such as planting seeds, growing trees, planting shrubs, or creating lakes, sometimes enhanced by natural forces that grant additional actions. At the end of the game, you score points for the height of your trees and the fertility of the biomes they are in.
