What is the game about?

Autumn has arrived, and warm fall flowers color the forest. The robin heralds the approaching cold, while the hoopoe—almost ready for her great nocturnal migration—feeds on the last available food. The fox is shedding its winter coat, and toads swarm in the dampest spots of the undergrowth, where fungi and fallen leaves thrive.

How do you play the game?

In Fall, you take turns placing leaf tiles on a shared playing field to build the autumn forest. After placing them, you also place forest tiles on adjacent tiles to form patterns that match your secret objective cards. Each player simultaneously tries to achieve their own objectives and uncover their opponent's strategy. When all the tiles are in place, the objectives are revealed, and the player who has fulfilled their secret conditions best wins.

How is the game experienced?

Fall is a beautifully designed and surprisingly tactical 2-player game, distinguished by its atmospheric autumnal theme and strong tableau construction. The shared playing field creates exciting interaction, as every move affects both you and your opponent. The secret objectives make the game stimulating and create subtle mind games that only truly unfold after several games. Occasional drawbacks include slight differences in the balance between objective cards and a slight learning curve in the first round.
