Faraway

During the game, each player lays out eight cards from left to right, representing their journey. These cards provide conditions for earning fame later, but these conditions must be met only afterward. Therefore, at the end of the game, you score in reverse order: from your last played card back to your first. Each turn, you simultaneously play one card and then choose a new one from the open market, with turn order determining who chooses first.

Faraway is a small game with a surprisingly clever idea: scoring by thinking back instead of forward. That single mechanism forces you to plan differently than you're used to and makes every card choice meaningful. The game plays quickly, but leaves little room for sloppy decisions—fail to plan your route carefully and see beautiful cards become worthless later.
