What is the game about?

Welcome to Thistleville, a vibrant forest village where every day is bursting with news: from baking contests to mysterious excavations in Mrs. Brambleberry's vegetable patch. As the editor of the local newspaper, it's your job to capture these stories before the competition snatches them up. You race between articles, photos, and advertisements as the deadline approaches at a terrifying speed. It feels like you're working in a warm, cozy village newsroom, where every hasty decision creates a new headline.

How do you play the game?

Players simultaneously collect tiles – articles, photos, and advertisements – stacking them on their desk until they believe they have enough for a full front page. As soon as someone shouts "Layout!", the puzzling begins: all chosen tiles must fit neatly on the newspaper without overlaps or gaps. Whoever finishes first shouts "Print!" and gets to be the first to choose a new eye-catcher for the next round. After three rounds, you score points based on layout rules, the balance between articles and photos, advertisements, and eye-catcher bonuses. Those who prefer not to play under time pressure can choose the calm variant and the puzzle variant.
