What is the game about?

In Gorinto, the five elements – earth, water, fire, wind, and void – each operate with their own energy and rhythm. Earth digs steadily, water adapts, fire rises powerfully, wind moves unpredictably, and void subtly fills the space between. Mastering each element is the key to balance. The game is inspired by the Japanese gorintō pagoda, where each section represents an element, and thus goes beyond mere points: it is a quest for insight and harmony.

How do you play the game?

Players take turns choosing Element tiles from the Path and placing them in their Mountain, accumulating Influence and Knowledge. Each element you take determines how you can collect tiles in subsequent turns, shifting your options with every move. Therefore, clever forward planning is more important than the tile that seems most attractive at the moment. At the end of each round, you score based on the goals revealed at the start. The player who best aligns themselves with the forces of nature wins.
