What is the game about?

In this tile-laying game, players construct buildings that everyone can use to craft materials, upgrade resources, earn money, and deliver the right goods to build the settlement's main landmark – the church. Connect the irregularly shaped tiles to create a village that looks completely different every time. The villagers perform tasks in the settlement while the donkeys build a network to efficiently transport resources from one end of the village to the other.

How do you play the game?

The goal of the game is to score as many points as possible—you do this by placing new buildings, contributing to the church's construction, and pursuing your own goals. On your turn, you deploy workers to construct or upgrade buildings, gather and process resources, and set up mule routes to transport goods. Buildings produce goods, but they also need to be moved to the right place to be used. Everyone builds the same village together (giving the game a cooperative feel), but the winner is ultimately the player who has made the most useful contributions.

How is the game experienced?

Hamlet is an atmospheric and ambitious village-building game in which players collaboratively grow a settlement from a quiet hamlet to a bustling village. The shared resources and transport mechanisms create enjoyable interaction with other players, and the variety of tile shapes allows for a different playing experience every time. Be warned: the rules can often be a bit overwhelming, especially for first-timers, meaning a game can sometimes take longer than anticipated. Nevertheless, this is a visually beautiful and content-challenging addition for fans of strategic board games.
