What is the game about?

Japan, 16th century. At the foot of the magnificent white Himeji Castle — nicknamed the White Heron for its elegant, snow-white silhouette — a silent struggle for power and prestige rages. Two rival clans vie for the favour of the highest circles, trying to outmanoeuvre each other in politics, military, and trade. Bridges, gardens, and towers form the backdrop where every move counts and influence weighs more heavily than brute force. Who will best control the court of the White Heron and go down in history as the ruler of Japan's most iconic castle?

How do you play the game?

The game is played over 2 rounds of 6 turns each. In turn, you place one of your colored lanterns on an action space on the board, and you may also place it on top of an existing lantern. The color of the lantern underneath then determines which effect you get. You then perform the corresponding action, such as training your army, collecting cards, or climbing the social ladder. At the end, you multiply your collected symbols by their value, and the player with the most points wins.

You can play this game with 2 to 2 players, from 10 years old. The duration is approximately 30 to 45 minutes. The language of the game is Dutch, but you can play it completely language independent.
