What is the game about?

The big tournament is approaching, and the city is abuzz with construction. You are the investor tasked with building the ultimate football club from scratch. First, a modest training field appears, then a snack bar for hungry fans, followed by a fan shop where scarves fly off the shelves. But the real dream? A full-fledged stadium with floodlights illuminating the night sky, a vibrant clubhouse, and a TV studio broadcasting every match into living rooms. Meanwhile, your rivals are building their own club — and they won't hesitate to lure your supporters to their ticket booths. Who will be the first to establish a complete football empire?

How do you play the game?

Each player starts with three basic cards and four major projects yet to be built: the youth academy, the stadium, the TV studio, and the football museum. In each turn, you roll one or two dice and activate all cards – yours and your opponents' – that correspond to the rolled number, earning coins from the bank or from your rivals' pockets. With your earned coins, you then buy new project cards or build one of your four major projects. The youth academy unlocks the option to roll two dice, which provides access to more expensive but lucrative investments. The first player to complete all four major projects wins.

How is the game experienced?

Machi Koro Soccer takes the proven and addictive dice-rolling mechanism of the original Machi Koro and gives it a sporty twist that works exceptionally well for soccer fans. The core dilemma remains delightfully stimulating: do you spread your investments across many cheap cards for stable income, or do you gamble on expensive projects that pay off handsomely with the right roll? The red cards, which allow you to steal coins from opponents, ensure direct interaction and the necessary frustration at the table – in the best possible way. The game can be explained in five minutes, and a game rarely lasts longer than half an hour, making it ideal as a gift for sports enthusiasts or as a quick filler on a game night. A successful thematic variant that fully retains the charm of the original.
