What is the game about?
In the Marvel Universe, alliances and threats are constantly changing — and in Marvel Fluxx, the rules of the game change just as quickly. Iron Man, Spider-Man, Black Widow, Thanos, the Hulk, and dozens of other familiar faces change hands as new rules come into play: draw more cards, play fewer, or maybe discard everything and start over. The Avengers can assemble, the villains can turn everything upside down, and every turn the winning goal can suddenly change. Chaos and strategy dance together in a world full of colorful heroes and formidable villains.
How do you play the game?
The game starts simple: draw one card, play one card. As players lay down Rule cards, the number of cards to draw and play changes, as do hand limits and win conditions. By playing Keeper cards (heroes and villains) for yourself, you try to meet the current Goal — which describes what combination of Keepers you need to win. Action cards disrupt opponents' plans, Goal cards replace the current goal, and Rule cards can completely change the entire gameplay environment. The first person to fulfill the current Goal wins.

How is the game experienced?
Marvel Fluxx is exactly what it promises: Andrew Looney's familiar Fluxx system wrapped in a Marvel theme, with heroes and villains as Keepers and goals that tie into well-known teams and events from the Marvel universe. For those who are already fans of Fluxx and Marvel, this is a smooth and recognizable combination, and the theme is well-integrated into the cards. Those who dislike the inherent chaos and high element of chance in Fluxx will not find it absent here — Marvel Fluxx does not change the core mechanism. However, as a quick and accessible party game for Marvel fans, it's an easy choice.
