What is the game about?

In Marvel United, you take on the role of iconic heroes like Iron Man, Captain America, or Captain Marvel. Together, you try to stop a villain—like Red Skull or Ultron—who's wreaking havoc in the city. Each villain has their own game board and unique master plan, meaning each game tells a different story. The game literally builds a storyline as the cards are played one by one.

How do you play the game?

The game is entirely cooperative. The villain is controlled by the game itself via a card deck that determines their movements, attacks, and threats. Players take turns placing a hero card in a shared timeline. These cards grant actions such as movement, rescuing civilians, defeating henchmen, or eliminating threats. Importantly, actions stack—your card combines with the previous card, making teamwork essential.
Only when enough missions have been completed can the heroes directly attack the villain. Defeat him before he completes his plan, and you'll win together.

This is the ideal game for...

How is the game experienced?

Marvel United scores particularly well among family games and is highly ranked in the "Family Games" category on BoardGameGeek. It's praised for its simple rules, quick playtime, and high accessibility without sacrificing excitement. The "chibi" miniatures make it visually appealing, but beneath the accessible layer lies a surprising amount of tactical play in timing and teamwork. Ideal for families, Marvel fans, and players looking for an easy-to-follow cooperative game that still offers plenty of variety thanks to the various villains.
