What is the game about?
In Patchwork, two players each build their own quilt on a personalized grid, aiming to fill it as completely and cleverly as possible. The patches vary in shape, cost, and time, meaning every choice impacts what's possible later. The buttons serve as both currency and final score, giving each decision added weight. The theme is calm and homey, but beneath the surface, everything revolves around timing, space, and efficiency.
How do you play the game?
Players take turns choosing one of the next three patches in the circle and pay buttons and time for it. The chosen patch is placed on their own board, and the time tokens determine whose turn it is next. Throughout the game, you earn buttons through income points and can earn small 1x1 patches or a bonus through clever planning. At the end, you score points for remaining buttons and lose points for each empty space on your quilt.
