Each player performs two actions per turn, choosing from a handful of options: taking orders from villagers, gathering ingredients at the community market, drawing mission cards for bonus objectives, consulting chef's notes for additional benefits, discarding ingredients or restocking the market, and delivering pizzas. Ingredients are gathered via a kind of jigsaw puzzle: you pick a row of up to three ingredients that match in color or type. If you still want to pick something that doesn't fit in the offered row, you can grab something from a mysterious bag—with the risk of spoiled ingredients that result in penalty points at the end. Deliver pizzas quickly, multiple pizzas at a time, or cleverly combine them with missions, and you'll earn extra tips. Whoever has earned the most money at the end of the game wins the title of new pizza chef. In solo mode, you use an action marker and try to complete at least four missions and place all eight pizza tokens.
