What is the game about?

The paper safari landscape is spread out on the table: grass, rocks, and trees, with all sorts of things hiding among them. Some Pokémon show themselves immediately, while others remain hidden until you're almost on top of them. Your safari mission determines which species you need, but you'll never see them all. You only know for sure what you've collected when everyone turns over their cards.

How do you play the game?

In Pokémon Paper Safari, each player has a grid of six cards, only one of which is face up, while the rest remain face up. On your turn, you draw a card and swap it with a card in your grid, after which the new card is turned face up and the old one is discarded. The round ends when one player has turned over all their cards; then all cards are revealed and everyone scores points, with tied cards in the same column being reduced to zero. The player with the lowest total wins the round!

How is the game experienced?
