What is the game about?

In Roll Camera!, you step into the shoes of film producers at a struggling studio given one last chance to make a successful film. With a tight budget, limited time, and a chaotic crew, you'll have to pull out all the stops to deliver a cohesive, high-quality, and timely final product.

How do you play the game?

You roll the special Crew dice and use their results to place film departments (camera, lighting, sound, actors, etc.) on action spaces on the board. By placing dice in specific patterns, you film the scenes you need to complete your movie. At the same time, you continually solve problems and develop ideas to save time, money, or increase efficiency. You lose if your budget or time runs out, but you win if you complete a full film that meets the required quality threshold. In the end, the filmed scenes together form your unique—sometimes masterful, sometimes hilariously bad—final product.

How is the game experienced?

Roll Camera! is a surprisingly fresh co-op game where dice don't just determine actions, but truly feel like a chaotic film crew constantly having to reorganize. The game perfectly balances puzzles, planning, and humorous thematic moments—especially when you realize your "masterpiece" is actually a B-movie. The constant stream of problems keeps the pressure on, but the idea cards provide that typical "yes, we can still make this!" feeling. Thanks to the humor, unique theme, and strong replayability, the game keeps coming back to the table.
