What is the game about?

In SETI: Space Agencies, you no longer simply take charge of a research institute, but rather a distinct organization with its own vision, resources, and methods. From private tech companies to international research networks, each agency approaches the search for extraterrestrial life differently. At the same time, new, unknown alien civilizations are emerging, making the universe less predictable. The thematic approach remains firmly rooted in real-world science and space exploration, but feels more personal and sharper than in the base game.

How do you play the game?

Each player chooses an asymmetric space agency with unique powers, starting resources, and game rules that shape your strategy from the start. The expansion adds over 40 new project cards, three new alien types, and signal tokens that enhance your scanning actions. Quick Start cards allow you to skip the first, slower round, getting you into the heart of the game faster. All additions integrate seamlessly with the base game and also work in solo mode.
