What is the game about?

On a sunny farm, it's a hive of activity: birds are fluttering everywhere, vying for the best spots among the oak trees, haystacks, and beehives. Every location is coveted, because whoever manages to place the most birds there will reap the rewards. But nothing is certain in this feathered game, where even your opponents' birds can simply fly over to your side. It will be a tactical struggle for territory, where timing and clever maneuvering are key.

How do you play the game?

In Free as a Bird, each turn you draw a number of birds from a bag – which can be yours or your opponents' – and place them at locations on the farm. At each location, players with the most, second most, and third most birds score points. Special animals allow you to remove or move your birds, leading to continuous shifts in power. Thus, everything revolves around building and breaking majorities at the right moment. The player who most skillfully deploys their birds and controls the most important spots gathers the most points.
