What is the game about?
Bigger and Badder brings together three villains, each wreaking their own unique brand of chaos: Syndrome's technological ego, Lotso's manipulative power play, and Madam Mim's absurd magic. Each character is given a realm thematically seamlessly connected to their film world—from Sunnyside Daycare to the battleground of Mim and Merlin. The cards, heroes, and actions feel familiar and true to the movies, but with a Villainous twist that emphasizes their evil ambitions. The expansion stands alone, yet fits seamlessly into the broader Villainous series.
How do you play the game?
As in all Villainous titles, you move your villain to a new location each turn, perform the corresponding actions, and replenish your hand to four cards. You play allies, items, and effects to achieve your unique win condition, while Fate actions allow you to disrupt other players' plans. Syndrome must upgrade and then defeat the Omnidroid, Lotso must weaken heroes and bring them to the Caterpillar Room, and Madam Mim must win a wizard duel by defeating all of Merlin's forms. The player who completes their objective first wins.

How is the game experienced?
Bigger and Badder feels like a refreshing expansion because all three villains have a distinct mechanical identity that differs significantly from previous sets. Syndrome plays like a steady buildup to a grand finale, Lotso introduces a new weakening mechanic that feels strategically strong, and Madam Mim brings a delightfully playful battle of forms. The thematic connection to the films is particularly strong, especially with Lotso and Syndrome, creating a truly compelling atmosphere. This expansion offers both experienced Villainous players a new challenge and can be an excellent introduction for fans of the films involved.
