What is the game about?

The Worst Takes It All is the original foundation of the Villainous series, in which six iconic Disney villains each get their own story, cards, and strategy. Maleficent, Ursula, Jafar, Prince John, the Queen of Hearts, and Captain Hook navigate their own realms, pursuing their unique goals, just like in their films—but this time on their own terms. The game's atmosphere is distinctly thematic: heroes appear as antagonists who sabotage your plans, while allies, items, and curses help you push your version of the story forward. The result is a dark, elegant, and surprisingly rich universe that immediately makes you feel like you're truly immersed in your villain.

How do you play the game?

Each turn, you move your villain to a new location on your personal board and then perform the actions shown there. You play cards to recruit allies, place items, perform effects, and remove obstacles. Using the Fate action, opponents can place heroes and events on your board to block your actions and disrupt your strategy. The first player to achieve their unique villain goal wins.

This is the ideal game for...

You can play this game with 2 to 6 players, from 10 years old. The duration is approximately 45 to 120 minutes. The language of the game is English.

How is the game experienced?

The first Villainous game remains one of the strongest because it nailed the formula right from the start: asymmetric objectives, thematic cards, and constant interaction via Fate. Each villain feels distinct, and discovering their optimal playstyle gives the game strong replay value. The tension lies not only in your own plan, but especially in the moment someone else invades your realm with heroes who appear at precisely the wrong time. The Worst Takes It All is a stylish, thoughtful start to the series that perfectly demonstrates why Villainous has become so popular.
